Designs features artwork which contains a message:
a message of faith and trust in God, the giver
of our imagination, talents and abilities. “Selah”
is a word in scripture (in the Psalms) which
directs the hearer to pause and reflect on what
was just spoken – to stop and think about
God.
“That’s
what I hope people will do with the artwork
featured here – pause and reflect on God,”
says Barbara Peterson, the artist who started
Selah Designs in 2001.

“I’m
tapping into a rich treasury of symbolism in the
scriptures and translating it into wearable art.
The challenge for me is to use precious metals
and stones to create images which communicate
faith and hope to others,” says Peterson
of her jewelry.
