About Barbara Peterson

Barbara Peterson is a jewelry designer who majored in Fine Art at Pratt Institute in New York City. She worked many years in the jewelry industry with a Consultant in jewelry and fine art, with fine jewelry Designers and at a major fashion jewelry company.

Barbara enjoys reading and meditating on the Scriptures and finds the inspiration for her jewelry designs in the text. “As I enjoy quiet times of meditation and reflection, I begin to see something in nature or in my imagination that captures my thoughts in a beautiful and concise way. I’m inspired to pick up a paintbrush or pencil to start sketching to translate that into jewelry ... what would that thought look like in gold... silver... or stones?", says Barbara, “so each piece that I make has a story behind it".
