the
seed
The first
book of the Bible is the book of Genesis, or "beginnings".
This book is the account of God's creation which contains
seeds which would "bear fruit after its own kind".
It is amazing to consider that a single seed can become
immense in its posterity. When I think of beginnings, I
think of the hidden potential of the seed.
The first
prophecy about our Savior (Jesus, the Messiah) is in Genesis,
where He is referred to as the “seed” of the
woman which would crush the head of His enemy. So, the people
of God awaited a king, a mighty conqueror …and God
came to earth as an infant to fulfill His promise.
